Alexander Mauz

He studied International Social Work and Peace Studies, served for several years as the spokesperson for the Civil Peace Service (ZFD) consortium, and worked with various organizations in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, Central America and the Caribbean.

His expertise lies in the development and implementation of programs for civil conflict transformation, supporting civil society actors engaged in promoting peace, nonviolence, and sustainable peace policies in conflict settings. A key focus of his work is the localization of international cooperation and the critical assessment of power asymmetries.

As a member of the Advisory Board for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Peacebuilding, he brings his extensive experience to advising the German government.
