Luxshi Vimalarajah is a seasoned senior advisor in peace mediation, with over 20 years of experience supporting high-level negotiation and dialogue processes in fragile and conflict-affected settings. She is representing the Berghof Foundation in the Advisory Board since April 2025.

Luxshi Vimalarajahs has accompanied several peace and national dialogue processes in diverse contexts, including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, the Basque Country, Yemen, and North Macedonia. Her work focuses primarily on Track 1 and Track 1.5 engagements. Currently, she is involved in discrete high-level negotiation processes in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

At the Berghof Foundation, Luxshi Vimalarajah has led the conceptual and practical work on mediation, national dialogues, insider mediation, faith-based mediation, and the engagement with non-state armed groups. Her research currently focuses on the intersection of constitution-making and mediation, and transitional justice and mediation.

Luxshi Vimalarajah is a trusted advisor to numerous governments, multilateral institutions, and international civil society institutions, providing policy guidance and technical expertise on mediation practice, strategy and design.

She is a founding member of the Initiative Mediation Support Germany (IMSD) and an active member of the global Mediation Support Network (MSN) and the German Women Mediators’ Network.

Luxshi Vimalarajah holds an MA in Political Science from the Free University in Berlin.
