Dr Jörg Lüer is a historian, Managing Director of the German Commission Justitia et Pax, and Catholic Managing Director of the Joint Conference Church and Development.
Dr Jörg Lüer has been working for many years on approaches to violent pasts and reconciliation processes. He is Deputy Chair of the Maximilian Kolbe Foundation and a member of e.g. the foundation council of the Foundation for Displacement, Expulsion and Reconciliation, and the board of trustees for the Action Reconciliation Service for Peace. From 2005 to 2008 Dr Jörg Lüer was General Secretary of Justitia et Pax Europe.
