Conflicts Without Borders. Combining Internal and External Conflict Management

In the first issue of the “Bits & Peaces” publication, advisory board members Ginger Schmitz and Alexander Mauz examine the growing interconnection between domestic and foreign policy issues and offer practical recommendations for integrated approaches.

Global crises are having an increasing impact on domestic political developments. This is leading to a growing interdependence between domestic and foreign policy. However, these areas have been treated institutionally separate in Germany.

Combining the two approaches into an integrated strategy could open up new opportunities for preventive peace and security policies both at domestic and international levels.
